Reece again. Elizabeth (http://4thgradeguide.blogspot.com/) has done the third post in the How To Earn Money For A Doll series. So this is the final post. Sad. Well, I've got some exciting posts coming up. So this is going to be a spectacular post.
For this post I'm gonna do crafty ways to earn money. (Plus I'll give you a sneak peak on what to come!)
The first way to earn money is by making stuff FOR a doll.
By selling through Etsy, Dollabee, or Ebay, you sell stuff for money to a wide audience. You could sell doll clothes, accessories, furniture, or food for them. Then you price it.
A tip for pricing: Unless it's way better then American Girl, don't price it super expensively! Otherwise people see no reason to buy it from you rather than American Girl. So don't sell so cheap that you don't make any profit. Look at other posts and see what they're selling stuff for! That will give you an idea on your pricing.
The other crafty way is perfect for around holidays!
Sell homemade cards and postcards.
The postcard secret? Postcards are easy to make and if you live in a tourist town, you'll earn lots of money. Postcards are way overpriced. So if you sell a postcard in the price range of 25 cents to 75 cents, people will surely buy. To make a post card you have to have a printer that prints on photo paper, but you could get the pics developed. Pick a pic and print it on postcard sized picture paper. On the back (in pencil) Draw the square(s) for the stamp, and the line for recipient and who it's from. Done!
Cards can be themed with B-days and holidays. Take card stock and make a card. Then decorate. You can decorate with stamps, ribbon, whatever! Sell for no more then a dollar at the most. (Depends on how much decor there is!)
You can sell your cards and postcards on Etsy!
Do you sell something you make? I'd love to hear about it! Did you make the cards? Say so in the comment, and/or send me the link or a pic of what you made!
Now....
SUPER SECRET PREVIEW!
Before Thanksgiving I have two crafts coming up. One is a bit of Fall Decor. Before Christmas is going to be the apron craft. Sorry the apron's taken a while. It's taken a while to draw the pattern, and I need to take pics.
I've also got the photo caption, it's ending soon! Here's the link http://theauthoristheartist.blogspot.com/2011/11/hmmm-what-to-doi-know.html. Please enter! So far I've only received one entry.
Plus, I've got a bonus! I'm doing a new thing. It's called Would You Buy These? It'll have doll items and I'll ask if you'd want these! For some I will show you my things and ask if you'd want them. I may also show you some things I might be selling. ;)
I have awesome crafts planned for December. And some photo stories. Maybe even some videos...
'Till next time!
