Adios

Hey guys.
I doubt anyone will read this. But I'm closing the blog. No one is here and truth be told, I'm talking to myself. So I will have another blog, but I'm not linking it here. I will keep my Etsy and YouTube. The blog will close Sunday the 7th. Sorry but why keep something that no one else appreciates? I'll miss you all and will keep reading your blogs even though it's obvious you've quit mine.

New Photo Editing System

Hi!
Today I came across a new photo editing system. I don't do a lot of photography that I edit online so I edit for my Etsy.
When I first edited pictures I used Picnik and I loved it! It would have been my favorite photo editing system, but unfortunately it closed shortly after I discovered it. I then switched to PicMonkey and the cool fonts and effects were costly. Plus it froze my computer and it contracted a lot of viruses.
I guess I figured they were the only ones...unless I wanted to learn PhotoShop  which my dad has...so not happening.
Then I found Ribbet.
It says that is has everything from Picnik and it does!!!!!!!!!

CHANGED BLOG

2 post in one day? Yep I'm on a roll!
But this is about change. I have just changed the background and appearance to my blog.  I'm also revamping it. I'm going to take better pics for the Dolls page and add more but that will have to wait.
I was off yesterday and today and was crafting, returning from a mountain trip, and sorting through mixed emotions so hopefully pics are soon. In fact I'm off next Thursday and Friday...who knows what I'll be up to!
Ah now back to the topic at hand.
I'm changing the blog name. The Doll Friend just doesn't work for me anymore. My Etsy is Divine Doll Designs so this is (so original..not!)  Divine Doll Designs Blog! Subject to change..
I'm also changing the URL. My current one would have been awesome for a personal blog since I  adore writing and am definitely an artist (now overrun by seamstress and sculptor :) )

Still a mouthful. But more appropriate for the blog.

Torn+YouTube+Etsy

Hi everyone! Today I'm in the mood for something that I thought I would never get again.
I'm starting to want another American Girl doll... Currently I'm torn between 3 and here is why:

Saige:
I love her! She is so cute (saw her at the AG store back in January). She's an artist like me and she's very pretty! Not big on the dress but I do like the boots. Since I'm from New Mexico I have a lot in common with her.  But she does look a lot like Reece and Holly and I want to add some diversity to my doll family.

Caroline:
I loved Caroline since she came out. Those super cute curls! Love her dress and she would definitely be a diverse addition to my doll family. Since I would change her personality and character it doesn't bother me that we don't have much in common.

JLY #55 (Named Carly):
Also unique. I was planning on getting her last year but that didn't necessarily work out did it now. Not big on the outfit and I don't care about the online thing but the doll herself is so wonderful!

I'm not planning another big AG trip until the summer after my birthday. So this isn't a NOW type of thing. Although, spring break is soon. :P Anyways I don't want an outfit since I'm recreating the outfits I like. I also am open to accessories (not pets, got enough of them). Not food since I'm beginning to do very detailed food which I hope to sell soon. This may be one of those craving periods but still...
I don't play with the dolls too much although I did get some in today.

Now onto some YouTube updates:
My Dad is planning on getting Mac which means iMovie! Which thus means to have DOLL VIDEOS! We also are probably getting a professional camera so yay! Not soon but hopefully before summer.

20 ETSY SALES!!!!

Hi guys!
Last week I celebrated something exciting...
20 Etsy SALES!!! And 3 sales on my Monster High store.
Now for 1 year that's not great. But being a full time student and not tying myself down, pretty cool. This year my goal is 50 sales. Maybe it can happen...

My Review of Saige and her Collection

Today I am doing a review of Saige and her collection.
Ok I love Saige! 3 reasons:
1. Sage is my brother's name.
2. I'm from New Mexico even though I live in Colorado!
3. I'm an artist!
Anyways now onto the review:

Saige Doll and Book:

I love her! Her hair is gorgeous. Her boots are cool. I think the dress is a cool style (not something AG has shown before) but the colors aren't my fave. However, I do understand the colors in her collection...the balloons! They're truly spectacular and colorful so they based her collection off that. Cool huh? But all the dolls are now $110 so I won't be getting her.

Saige's Pajamas for Doll

Bleh. I hate this outfit. The colors just don't work. It's not as cute as it could have been. Different , vibrant colors would have made it better.

Saige's Parade Outfit & Hat

This is kinda cute, in my opinion. The shirt is great and the hats are cool. I love her boots...I love all boots actually. I know it's the country style of pants but I'm not big on it.

Saige's Sparkle Dress

Her hair is so pretty here! Now to the outfit. I love it. I love the dress and the necklace. I love the sparkle and the color. I think that for this, boots weren't the best choice. Sandals or flats would have been better. But overall this is something I would wear!

Saige's Sweater Outfit

I love the legging sweater combo. I think this is fun and cute!

Although there are more stuff this is the last thing I'm gonna review:

Saige's Hot Air Balloon Set

I love this. THose little accessories are cool! I don't know what the point of it is. But because of Saige's story and collection it fits right in with New Mexico. But $150? Mattel is definitely crazy!
