Since my dear doll, Reece's, birthday is coming up I thought I could do some party crafts. Her b-day is the 28th and fortunately I am on Spring Break then so I will have a little party for her. (Don't worry, I'll take pics!) I am sorry that this craft is a pictogram.
Today's party craft is balloons for dolls. I looked at a pic on the internet from an old AG magazine. My version is slightly different.
You will need...
*Skewer of dowel. Skewers are sold in kitchen stuff. Dowels can be found at craft stores
*Scissors or X-Acto knife. If you use the knife be sure to have parent help!!! Depending on the length of the last material I mentioned, you may need to shorten the stick
*Tissue paper- any color!
*Sting or ribbon
*Stuffing or a Styrofoam egg that is 3 1/2 by 4 7/8- found at Walmart or craft stores, the egg costs more but works best.
*Decorations such as stickers, doodling stuff, or glitter
Make it...
1. Take the stick and cut it too a desired length, it may not need to be cut. You may need a parents' help cutting it.
2. Take a square of tissue paper and wrap it around the egg or a fairly sized wad of stuffing. Put it in the center and wrap it up. Stick the stick into it where it is open.
3. Tie off with any desired length of ribbon.
4. Trim the excess tissue paper.
5. Decorate.
Was that fun? If you have any questions, please let me know! My next doll party craft will be making doll blowout horns.
Sincerely,
Cool! I should totally make this for my doll Penelope's birthday. :)
